Originally hailing from Santa Monica, California, Matt’s roots are firmly planted in the influential surf and skate culture of LA’s Westside and the legendary Dogtown Z-Boys era. As the youngest member of the iconic Zephyre skate team, he rode alongside pioneering legends like Tony Alva, Jay Adams, Stacey Peralta, and Jim Muir. His early career also included national TV commercials and stunt doubling in Hollywood films, showcasing a fearless creativity and drive.

Matt’s love for surfing first drew him to Costa Rica, but his connection to the country deepened as he embraced the rich culture, stunning landscapes, and vibrant communities. His passion for real estate was ignited through his own successful investment in Santa Teresa, where he discovered the vast potential of the local market.
