February Luxury Feature - Playa Negra Home
One of Costa Rica’s raw beauties–barely touched–is now available as your backyard: Playa Negra.
This three-bedroom, two-bath home over the Pacific in Guanacaste has been custom built, and could be your second home for somewhere in the seven-hundreds.
Built in 2001, on 1,500 square meters of land, this spanish-style retreat has 3,200 square feet of living space. You will hard pressed to find many homes with three floors in Costa Rica real estate. The third floor on this one is dedicated to one thing: doing nothing. “Nothing,” of course, if we don’t count watching the comings and goings of sun and wave-sets.
Let’s talk amenities. On the first floor, inside your one-stall garage, is where you’ll find your clothes washer, dryer, large gas tank for cooking, and water softener. On this same floor there are two bedrooms, and one bathroom.
Upstairs from there is your kitchen. This is unlike anything else you will find in the area. Aside from the stainless steel appliances, every piece in here is custom wood, including the counters.
Your water is filtered through reverse osmosis and ultraviolet light before it comes out the tap. And don't worry about running out. You have your own water tank. Past the counter of your kitchen is your large living space, with it’s in-wall entertainment cabinet, and comfortable wood-vaulted ceilings. Don’t worry. The satellite TV is already installed.
The master bedroom and bath on this same floor enjoy unadulterated ocean views from the terrace. Of course, if it’s your preference, you can zip up the whole place up and turn on the air conditioning to keep cool on warmer days. With all these breezes, though, you may just opt to let nature do what it does.
The last floor of your new home does have one more room, which is currently a yoga space, but could be whatever you desire. Room for the in-laws perhaps? If you don’t put up walls and make more interior space with this mostly open-air floor, then you have the best perch around to let time breeze through your hair. You enjoy ocean, jungle, and mountain views from here.
Speaking of views, just below you is some of the best landscaped land in Playa Negra, and it’s right on your property.
This land has been carefully developed by one of the best landscapers in the area, a man with 25-years of landscaping experience. He even developed the green space of the land next door.
This place is part of a small gated community so your home also comes with the security of an association. There is also an alarm system just in case, although you have nothing to worry about around here. Negra is one of the most peaceful beaches in Guanacaste. For surfing enthusiasts, it’s also one of the best breaks in all of Costa Rica, with near perfect right barrels.
