Perfect Weather
The High Season is normally regarded as from November 15th to April 15th. If you are looking for the Peak
Season with respect to weather it happens to fall during the Holidays, how convenient!
What a time of year to be in Tamarindo. This may also be true of the entire country but as for our beach
community, Peak Season weather is out of this world.
We actually like the rainy season “Green Season” too but there is no denying it, when the rains stop in
early November the weather turns to perfect, everything is still green and lush and that’s pretty hard to
beat!
It’s amazing to go for early morning walks without a shirt (I’m a guy) and just wonder if you would prefer
it one degree cooler or one degree warmer and concluding that it’s perfect just the way it is! This is true
in the evenings too! I will admit that during mid-day it can get a little warm at times (we are very
spoiled) but then we just look forward to our breathtaking sunsets and the cooling air.
Our area is classified as Dry Tropical Forrest (what a term!). The Guanacaste area receives less rainfall
and is less humidity that any other coastal community in Costa Rica (maybe all of Central America).
So what’s the best time to be in Costa Rica? That would be whenever you can get here but if you can
make in November or December you will witness Planet Earth showing off just for you!
