Location: Uvita, Costa Rica
Sitting poolside at this thoughtfully designed home, the potential different uses for the property are easy to imagine. Originally built to comfortably host his large family, and strictly for entertainment ease, it is clear the owner did an excellent job. The flow from the kitchen, along the pool, hearing its numerous small waterfalls, into the massive outdoor recreational area is seamless. This rec area has a pizza oven, a twelve-burner stove, ovens below, a commercial grill, a refrigerator, and an eighteen-foot local hardwood table. A pool table, darts, and many other games are spaced throughout his awesome space. Continuing down the pool’s side you see the bespoke stone fire circle, where many great stories and s’mores will take place. This is next to the workout area which will include various workout machines. Going down a slight slope on a well-built concrete path, you have a large fenced area perfect for the chickens! Once a small pony called it home.
SPACE TO EXPAND!
If we take a small right after the fitness area we can meander through a really cool snaking concrete trail, winding through a wonderful blend of native flowers. This way eventually leads you to the rear of the property. Here you see exactly where each additional cabina would be placed. Due to the well-laid-out design of ornamental bamboo hedges, already chest-high!
THE MAIN HOUSE!
Keeping the same large open feel, it is so clear how well this property is oriented. Opening the ornate local hardwood front door, flanked by beautiful huge marble slabs, the very spacious living room is in front of you, and slightly to the right is the inside commercial kitchen, with a huge fridge, stove, and a gorgeous table for plenty of guests. And this whole space has the option for the entire wall to open or close. to the pool. Soft cushy sofas to relax on watching your favorite films, after playing in the sun all day sure is nice! A hallway on the left takes you to the master bedroom. The bed is a double king, and big! The master bath has his & her sinks, as well as two shower heads in the large stone shower. Bathroom walls painted with a colorful jungle scene by a local artist make it superb. The very cute custom kids’ room is at the end of the hall, after passing the rather large guest, or second bedroom. Cane De India, a rare small-diameter wood was chosen to highlight the walls and continues high up into the ceilings. Which even in mid-day allows for a wonderful temperature. The master and unique children’s rooms each have lofts for an additional sleeping area. Tile floors throughout mean keeping the property clean couldn’t be easier. There are three bedrooms, though it is extremely simple to see how one would create two, or more dividing the spaces a bit more. The office, across the hall from the guest bedroom opens to an atrium. On one side of this open-air space, you have the laundry room, and the other leads you outside to a gorgeous reading space with a full bath and with one wall open to nature. It is a great space.
Two which have two beds each, and their own private full baths, sit across a wooden walkway from the outdoor recreational area. The other six you will pass as you drive up to the main house. These six have a stairway connecting them to the main house and rec area, woven smoothly into the hillside alongside native beach almond trees. Four are together in a mini hotel fashion with two up top, and two below. Each unit is made with beautiful local teak, with natural stone accents throughout, and is what the entire bathrooms are made of. Giving you a very cozy, yet upscale feel. The two others are next door to these and are at ground level. The two rooms have a private kitchen/lounge area, two beds, and a laundry room between. They share a door to be easily connected for a suite layout.
THE LOCATION !!!
When you are anywhere on this incredible piece of land, it feels so private, and like you are miles and miles from any other humans. You hear the cascading waterfalls from the pool, and the constant chatter of different wild birds, so it is easy to see why.
When in fact the location really cannot get much better! A short walk to the best grocery store, bank, pizza restaurant, hardware store, surf shop, mechanic, pharmacy and doctor, local restaurants, a bakery, and the ocean is less than a five-minute drive… Seriously a slice of heaven magically tucked away, and around the corner from all the hustle and bustle of our little town of Uvita. After you visit you will know I am joking about the hustle and bustle. Just the right blend of super nice locals, nature lovers, yoggies, and surfers. I have lived in this sleepy oceanside town for over five years, and seeing the recent interest in people wanting to live or invest here is no surprise. Come and see this very unique property soon to witness the magic yourself.
