Santiago de Puriscal or simply called ‘Puriscal’ is known for its perfect climate where the average altitude is 1,100 meters (3600 feet) and average temperature of 21 C (70 degrees) At this altitude, Puriscal tends to have a longer green season and less wind than other areas in Costa Rica.
The farm is located in Santiago de Puriscal, a rural town where life is generally low key, serene, and relaxing. Within a three-minute drive are a multitude of services and conveniences, i.e., banks, lawyers, doctors, pharmacies, a modern full-service emergency hospital, modern grocery stores, hardware stores and many other shops and businesses, churches, and schools.

MAIN HOUSE

The chef’s kitchen is equipped with abundant cabinets, Corian type countertops, a propane range, (no refrigerator) and magnificent views. This lovely home has two bedrooms and two bathrooms with smaller high up master bedroom windows for privacy, a beautifully designed master bath, walk-in closet, light & bright screen enclosed dining/entertaining area, and utility room. Solar panels have been installed to cut electricity costs. A new hot water heater was installed in 2022.
HOUSE #3
The third home on site is the current residence of the long-time property manager. It’s a cute little A-Frame house with a living room, kitchen, loft bedroom, and upper patio overlooking coffee plantations and terraced mountains. The property manager is agreeable to remain on site and continue property management and harvesting or move elsewhere, whatever the new owner prefers.
BARN
A large functional barn is a great place for storage, a workshop and more. With currently empty fowl coops, in earlier years, the chicken shelter in the barn was used to raise chickens to sell. At top production, the chickens laid 1000 eggs per day with an average of 25 chickens per week to sell.
